Leading Group Dance and Fitness Classes with Comprehensive Class Preparation:
- Providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure the safety and effectiveness of each class.
- Comfortably leading classes of 10-12 participants, while fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes before and stay 10-15 minutes after class for member and guest interaction, announcements, class prep, format education, and studio standards.
- Planning and preparing class routines and playlists in advance.
- Ensuring all equipment and facilities are set up and in good working order.
- Ensuring punctuality, intensity, and alignment with class description.
Professional Development:
- Staying up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, dance techniques, and industry knowledge.
- Participating in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the management team by actively participating in meetings, offering feedback, reporting maintenance issues, requesting substitutions, and contributing to scheduling and program enhancements.
Participant Motivation and Customer Engagement
- Cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment where participants feel encouraged and included.
- Provide tailored modifications to accommodate individual needs and abilities.
- Utilize your enthusiasm and energy to motivate participants in reaching their fitness goals.
- Build strong relationships with members, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback.
- Promote upcoming classes and special events to boost participation.
- Enhance attendance and retention through personal social media engagement, announcements, and direct client interaction.
Qualifications:
- Continuing education in dance and fitness certifications is required, with the certification actively pursued and completed within the first 6 months of employment. Enrollments in relevant certification programs are anticipated.
- Current CPR and AED certification preferred.
- Previous group fitness instructor experience is a plus.
- Creativity, inspiration, and a strong work ethic are valued.
- Effective team communication.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess a strong knowledge of anatomy and movement kinesiology, including modifications and contraindications for major injuries or movement restrictions.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Microsoft Office products.
