Health, Wellness and Safety
· Refrain from applying oils or heavy lotions before all classes.
· No food, candy, or gum in class.
· Students with injuries or illness should notify the instructor before class.
· Please avoid heavily scented perfumes, deodorants, or scents. The instructor has the right to ask a student to stop wearing a scent that is distracting to the class.
· Please do not come if you have had a fever in the previous 24 hours.
· Alcoholic beverages or use is prohibited in the studio. If any instructor suspects a student to be inebriated, the instructor has the right to remove student from the class.
· Do not jump on the poles, we are training to get the strength to be graceful and prevent bruising.
· Students are not allowed to use studio equipment without the guidance and or supervision of instructors or qualified staff.
· Keep hands and other body parts off the mirrors.
· Clean all the poles you touched at the end of class. Don’t forget the base and climb again if needed.
· Put back any equipment or supplies in appropriate place when done using them. Wipe down with appropriate rag and sanitizer.
Studio Etiquette
· Refrain from slamming heels on the floor multiple times in a row. Try to limit yourself to 3 per song. This can be a fun move but can also be obnoxious or trigger some PTSD.
· Bring a positive attitude to class. Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressive do not have a place at Epic Motion.
· Do not talk about anyone else in class about anything negative like what they are wearing or what their body looks like. This applies to you as well. Stay positive and don’t talk down on yourself.
· We have a zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory behavior based on an individual’s (self) identity. Any form of abusive, disrespectful, or discriminatory behavior will result in your removal and inability to continue attending classes at Epic Motion Dance & Fitness. NO EXCEPTIONS!
· Epic Motion Dance and Fitness Studio explicitly desires to create a culture where all persons bring respect, curiosity, and openness to our differences.
· Students are expected to attend to the activity being led by the instructor at all times during the class. If you require a break, notify the instructor.
· Only students participating in class are welcome on the dance floor during class sessions.
· Do not teach other students’ new skills. Be respectful of your teacher
· Please do not engage in phone conversations or lengthy text messages while the instructor is directing a class.
· Any inappropriate or slanderous remarks about Epic Motion Dance and Fitness Studio on any social media site will be cause for immediate dismissal from the studio.
· Always take corrections with a positive attitude and strive to do your best.
· If you wish to film yourself, please wait for the instructor to indicate when it’s okay to do so (usually at the end of class). In some instances, the instructor may allow filming at her/his discretion (e.g., to capture a new trick or move, etc.).
· Beware of others and make sure you obtain permission from others to be in your photo or video.
Cancellations & Refunds
· Please arrive on time for class. If you are 5-10 min late you will be subject to a self-warm-up.
· If you are more than 10 minutes late you may not be able to attend the class. This is at the instructor discretion.
· Epic Motion Dance and Fitness Studio reserves the right to cancel any event or class which does not maintain the minimum enrollment.
· For monthly pass holders, if the studio remains closed for more than 48 hours due to weather, remodeling or other, we will extend the pass for the time loss in which you were not able to attend classes.
· If you have an emergency and cannot make class, and it is within the 4-hour late cancellation period, please contact Shelly at (970) 485-4128.
Class Attire
· Proper attire is required for each class and may change depending on the activity. Fun outfits are encouraged but please wait until Vertical Fitness level 2 if you want to wear thongs. NO NUDITY.
· No street shoes on the dance floor. Do not wear dance shoes or heels outside; it brings excess dirt into the studio which damages the floors and is unsanitary.
· Classes that require tennis-shoes, students should have a pair of clean shoes only to be worn indoors.
· No hand/finger jewelry that can scratch the poles (bracelets, rings, etc.) Accessories can damage equipment, instructors, and yourself. If you cannot remove a ring on your finger, please cover with athletic tape.
· No undergarments are to be worn in place of pole wear.
Lost and Forgotten
Please check the cubby for any lost belongings. We will clear this out monthly.
Service Refusal
Epic Motion Dance & Fitness, its owner, and instructors, reserve the right to refuse service to any individual for any reason deemed necessary.
