Hello, My name is Shelly. I am the sole owner and one of your instructors at Epic Motion. I relocated to Wenatchee in April 2020, amidst the challenges of the Covid era. Exploring my new surroundings with my bike, I embarked on a journey to familiarize myself with my new home. Initially, I was engaged in an internship with the Parks and Recreation department of the city, completing a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Adventure Programming.
However, my trajectory took a significant turn when I discovered the absence of options for adults interested in pole dancing and other aerial apparatuses in the city. Fueled by my longstanding passion for performing, I followed my dream of owning a dance and fitness studio into reality. With the invaluable support of a fellow entrepreneur, I realized my vision, creating a space to be shared with the vibrant community here in Wenatchee.
With 20 years of experience teaching and performing pole dancing across various locations—from Ohio and Florida to Colorado and now Washington—I bring a wealth of expertise to my craft. Certified as a personal trainer by NASM since 2015, I've pursued further education in diverse fitness and health-related disciplines, including ACE Nutrition Specialist, Empowerment Self Defense, Pole Fitness Studio (Pole Level 1-4), Spincity Beginner Aerial Hoop, TRX Qualification Level 1, Tangoflex, and more. My journey has seen me compete and perform in numerous venues, and now I'm eager to impart my knowledge and experiences to others.
I'm thrilled to introduce this unique business to Wenatchee and immensely grateful for the enthusiastic response thus far. Our members are flourishing, and the transformative process is palpable—I'm eager to showcase our progress to the city. Together, we're cultivating strength, empowerment, and positivity as we embark on this new chapter, forging an extraordinary community along the way.
Ashley has been teaching dance fitness since 2017 after falling head over heels with the energy that comes from group fitness classes. In 2020, she completed her Turn Up Dance Fitness certification and left her Zumba days behind for something she found was even more inspirational, challenging, & fun. She returned to Wenatchee in late 2021 after spending years on the West Side with her husband and missing the sunshine. Passionate about sharing the self-love, swagger, & empowering culture that comes with the Turn Up, Ashley is thrilled to share this class with the community. When she’s not dancing, Ashley enjoys cooking, eating, writing, interior decorating, & spending time outdoors with her husband, baby boy, and two dogs.
Caroline has been living and dancing in Wenatchee since she was born. She started out performing classical ballet at the Joan Shelton School of Ballet when she was 5 years old. When she got older, she added Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance to her practice by attending classes at Wenatchee's Dance Creations Studio. Dancing has always been a strong passion for Caroline, allowing her to express herself and get a work out in while also having fun.
In addition to performing in many shows including The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, Hair Spray, and most recently Mamma Mia, Caroline has choreographed a secondary production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat and multiple adult routines.
Caroline is extremely excited to be joining the team at Epic Motion Dance and Fitness and to share her love for hip hop and classical ballet infused with the fun expression of lyrical dance.
"I was raised in a small town in California. I went to college in Utah, where I studied Design and Dance. I was in the Swing Dance Team and the Polynesian Dance club. After graduating, I moved to Portland where I continued painting and dancing while working as a nanny. I helped my friends run several small dance clubs. I moved to Wenatchee with my husband five years ago where I've struggled to find or start any dancing, so I was so happy when Epic Motion opened up!" - Aubrey
Alecia, also known as Charlie Angel, discovered her passion for dance at a young age, finding her happy place in the world of movement. In 2011, she embarked on an exciting journey with the burlesque dance troupe "The Do-Rights" in Santa Cruz, CA, where her alter ego Charlie Angel, was born. With a blend of silliness, confidence, and sass, she embraced performing and expressing herself through dance, often adorned with something pink or sparkly and curls.
After five transformative years, Charlie made her way to Montana, where she dedicated herself to teaching empowering burlesque workshops. Her mission? To help women embrace their true selves, fostering confidence and self-expression in a supportive environment. Whether you're seeking self-discovery or simply looking to let loose, Charlie Angel, is here to guide you on your dance journey.
"I was born and raised in Wenatchee, WA. I never dreamed we would have a gym like this come to life in our small town! The studio came in to my life at the perfect time, shortly after the birth of my first child. I regained my confidence and strength, and my love for pole dancing quickly turned in to passion! I have been a member of the studio since the early days and have taken hundreds of classes. Acquaintances have turned in to friendships, and this place has become my home away from home and added some extra spice to my life of being a stay at home mom. When I'm not at the studio, you can find me at the lake, or in the mountains. I am SO excited to take this next step and share my love of dancing with the community!" - Sara
